来自马来西亚沙巴的 Aaron Low Wai Ian 毕业于英国伯明翰大学声乐表演专业,师从英国女高音伊丽莎白·克拉格。他目前正在比利时蒙斯皇家音乐学院攻读音乐表演硕士学位。 Aaron Low Wai Ian, a native of Sabah, Malaysia, graduated from the University of Birmingham with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance, under the tutelage of British soprano Elizabeth Cragg. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Music Performance at the Royal Conservatory of Mons in Belgium.
高中毕业后,Aaron 积极探索多元的职业道路。2018至2019年间,他曾在亚庇市的多家公司与机构担任活动策划与管理,后于沙巴州政府青年及体育部担任部长助理与实习生。同年,他开始在吉隆坡的UCSI大学学习;然而,由于疫情及教学模式转为线上,他决定退学并重新调整自己的学术与艺术方向。 Since graduating from high school, Aaron has actively explored diverse professional paths. Between 2018 and 2019, he worked with several companies and organisations in Kota Kinabalu as an event planner and manager, and later served as an assistant and intern to the Minister of Youth and Sports in the Sabah State Government. In the same year, he began his studies at UCSI University in Kuala Lumpur; however, due to the pandemic and the transition to online learning, he decided to withdraw and take time to realign his academic and artistic direction.

During this period, he studied choral pedagogy, conducting, and the Kodály method under Ms Susanna Saw, a renowned Malaysian music educator and choral conductor, embracing her philosophy that “music is for everyone.”

During his time at the University of Birmingham, he took part in several world premieres by contemporary composers, including the UK premiere of Grammy Award-winning composer John Luther Adams’ Vespers of the Blessed Earth, in collaboration with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO). He has worked with more than twenty professional conductors, among them Simon Halsey (three-time Grammy Award winner) and Ludovic Morlot. In 2023, Aaron performed at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London under the baton of Kazuki Yamada. In the 2024/2025 season, he will collaborate with world-renowned composer and conductor Bob Chilcott, perform alongside the BBC Singers, and record for BBC Radio 3.

Under the inspiration of Dr. Alexandre Canon and mentorship of Dr. Shu Jiang in his final year of undergraduate study , he has explored the role of music as a medium of healing within indigenous cultures.
Aaron 也曾多次与伯明翰市立交响乐团副指挥朱利安·威尔金斯合作举办独唱音乐会。作为评审,他连续三年担任由伯明翰大学、阿斯顿大学及伯明翰城市大学联合举办的年度歌唱比赛的评委会主席,负责监督评审标准并评审超过十场演出。此外,他曾担任伯明翰大学音乐剧制作的声乐指导,并在求学期间教授声乐,积累了丰富的表演教学与评审经验。 Aaron has also collaborated frequently with Julian Wilkins, Associate Conductor of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, in presenting solo recitals. As an adjudicator, he has served for three consecutive years as Chair of the Jury Panel for the annual singing competition jointly organised by the University of Birmingham, Aston University, and Birmingham City University, overseeing evaluation standards and adjudicating over ten performance rounds. In addition, he has worked as vocal coach for the University of Birmingham’s musical theatre productions and taught voice during his studies, gaining extensive experience in both performance pedagogy and adjudication.
